Sannia Abdullah, Ph.D.

Hello!

Thank you for stopping by. My name is [pronounced as] SAAN-EEA. I'm a political scientist by profession and write on nuclear policy and debates, nonproliferation norms, and regional security, emphasizing Southern Asia.

You can find more about my scholarship in my publications.

I love road trips, street food, reading books, and learning about people. I believe we all, as humans, have a lot to offer to each other. Story-telling is an important aspect of connection and sharing empathy. To enable young women to express their stories of triumphs and pitfalls openly, I started my podcast, 'Women with Ambition.' It is available on major platforms, including Apple, Google, and Spotify.

If you think you want to share your story, don't forget to contact me.

Publications

Publishing has allowed me to learn, share, and connect with other scholars to further improve my understanding of complex issues. It’s something I enjoy and hope that my articles are of your interest too. I welcome any opportunities to collaborate.

Presentations/Guest Lectures

When I'm not writing, I speak on politics, national security issues, sexism, gender equality through conferences or my podcast. I’ve presented at several academic international conferences, delivered guest lectures at prestigious universities and think tanks.
